The Baltic Blueprints Expo brings together the work of three SUBMARINER projects, connecting innovators, policymakers, and practitioners to examine how low-trophic aquaculture can support ecosystem restoration and coastal livelihoods in the Baltic Sea region. The programme combines policy discussion with proposal matchmaking, live demonstrations, and an exhibition showcasing solutions from cultivation to end products.

BlueActionBANOS Webinar on KPIs and PESTLE - 24 March 2026

BlueActionBANOS will host a webinar on 24 March at 14:00 CET to support applicants in moving from the Project Idea Form to a full proposal. The session focuses on defining clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) linked to project objectives and measurable outputs, as well as introducing the PESTLE framework to assess political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental assumptions, which are underlying your project proposals.

If you have not yet submitted your Project Idea Form, you have until 16 March 2026 (17:00 Brussels time).

New Blue4All Guidelines - Strengthening MPA Financial Management

Blue4All, together with the MPA Network, has published new guidelines introducing a structured approach to the financial management of Marine Protected Areas. The publication outlines how structured, business-oriented planning can help address funding gaps and strengthen the long-term resilience of Marine Protected Areas.

By promoting diversified financing mechanisms, strategic financial planning and stakeholder engagement, the guidelines highlight practical approaches to support effective MPA management and contribute to EU biodiversity and ocean policy objectives.

The RoundGoby Working Group will host an online session on 25 March exploring how the invasive round goby can be developed into food and pet food products.
