Smart Food Cluster

The Smart Food Cluster, managed by LITMEA, presented its efforts in sustainable food systems, emphasizing bio-based ingredients, circular packaging, and food waste reduction. Representing over 120 members from the agri-food, food processing, and manufacturing sectors, the cluster focuses on enhancing competitiveness, fostering innovation, and building international partnerships. Engaged in European projects such as ZeroW, TRUST FOOD, and EPIC, it plays a key role in supporting SMEs in transitioning to greener business models.

  1. Joint Activities – Involvement in activities aligned with the SMART FOOD Cluster’s goals, focusing on the co-creation of new products and services.
  2. Funding Advice – Guidance for companies and SMEs on national and international funding programmes, including application support and project follow-up.
  3. Business Missions & Exhibitions – Organization of joint business missions and participation in exhibitions to promote exports and business development.
  4. Qualification Training – Short-term, tailor-made training to upgrade employee skills and improve company products and services.
  5. Online Webinars – Web-based sessions covering current topics relevant to businesses and stakeholders in the agri-food sector.
  6. Networking Activities – Seminars, workshops, roundtables, and think tanks that connect companies, SMEs, universities, startups, policymakers, and chambers—especially in the food sector.
