WHAT IS NEW

Newsletter Interreg Central

Central Europe is facing numerous challenges that know no borders. Our regions and cities have to adapt quickly in the coming years and they urgently need support.

“Let’s get the money on the ground” was demanded by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in her State of the Union Address. And this is exactly what we are doing at Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE: Before the end of the year we will select dozens of new projects and soon after we will open a second call for transnational cooperation ideas.

In this edition, you will find news about:

→ Our second call that opens in March 2023

→ Our applicant community for project partner search and browsing ideas

→ The assessment and imminent selection of first call project proposals

→ Our EU Regions Week Talk on the impact of transnational cooperation impacts

Why just bioeconomy?

The bioeconomy is a modern economic approach to farming that uses renewable biological resources to produce food, energy and environmentally friendly materials. It provides key solutions to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, limit the impacts of climate change and promote sustainable development.

Therefore, from our point of view, the development of the bioeconomy is essential and the only way forward for a sustainable economy and our future.
