What are Cross-Fertilisation Meetings?

Ready to scale up your regional bio-based innovation?

BBioNets’ Cross-Fertilisation Meetings are essential events designed to connect the project’s regional Forest and Agriculture Networks (FANs).

While each FAN addresses unique regional realities and specific challenges, there is significant common ground when it comes to biomass availability, exploitation potential, and shared needs. By networking across borders, the project aims to significantly increase the collective impact of local work.

These meetings help participants to:

  • Share Difficulties: Exchange common challenges and concerns about applying and scaling Bio-Based Technologies (BBTs).
  • Discover Opportunities: Learn about new breakthroughs, emerging technologies, and market opportunities across regions.
  • Promote Knowledge: Capture, validate, and widely share practical knowledge developed by national EIP-AGRI Operational Groups (OGs).
  • Forge Collaborations: Create opportunities for bilateral and multilateral cooperation among FANs and OGs.

The Six-Part Series: Topics and Schedule

Based on an in-depth analysis of regional dynamics—including OG activity, BBT maturity, and specific regional potential—the project has curated a focused, high-impact series.

All sessions start at 11:00 CET:

  • Innovations in Nutrient Recovery: 11 December 2025
  • Innovative Hemp Practices: 15 January 2026
  • Sustainable Sheep Wool Processing: 29 January 2026
  • Efficient Woody Biomass Utilisation: 12 February 2026
  • Circular Approaches in Olive Groves: 26 February 2026
  • Opportunities in Green Biorefineries: 23 April 2026
