The BIO2REG projects warmly invite you to join us in exploring a key question at ‘BIO2REG Connect’ on 3 February in Brussels: How can regions bring bioeconomy solutions to life?

This question will be the focus of ‘BIO2REG Connect – Unlocking Regional Pathways for the Bioeconomy’ on 3 February in Brussels.

Discuss issues relating to the bioeconomy and your region. How can I make fishing more sustainable and circular? How about agriculture and forestry? How can I create new regional value chains with locally produced raw materials and residues? The event brings together regional authorities, clusters, researchers, development actors, policymakers and experts.

The project BIO2REG supports European regions in accelerating their transition to a sustainable and circular bioeconomy. We provide practical tools, guidance and peer-learning opportunities.

Look forward to high-profile keynote speakersEvdokia Achilleos, Head of Sector, European Research Executive Agency, and Sam Hout Ledo, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission, Jan-Philipp Kramer, Partner and Head of EU-Services Prognos.

Discover how the bioeconomy can be implemented regionally. Regions from Sweden to the Basque Country alongside several other regions will present their challenges, conditions and innovative ideas. We will focus on regional issues to learn from each other.

Interactive formats such as floor moderation, breakout groups and speed dating will allow you to engage in direct exchange. Share your experiences with others and find common solutions.

Let's encourage each other on the path to a sustainable, economically strong and resilient future!
