Celebrating Two Years of High-Impact Innovation!
Regional Networks Shaping European Policy
BBioNets’ local Forest and Agriculture Networks (FANs) have evolved into powerful catalysts for high-level input. They bring grassroot innovations at major European summits, ensuring verified, on-the-ground knowledge directly informs the EU's bio-circular agenda and feeds into critical policy debates.
The BBioNets Knowledge Platform: Scaling Bio-Based Innovation
The BBioNets Knowledge Platform has been enriched, with the Bio-Based Technology Inventory now successfully consolidating knowledge from over 80 diverse sources (including EIP-AGRI OGs and EU projects) into one organised resource. Plus, the platform features a unique BBTs Assessment Tool, which de-risks adoption by providing tailored, cost-effectiveness analysis for each project region.
From Data to Decisions: Unveiling 6 Regional BBT Roadmaps
Based on rigorous analysis, BBioNets has released six dedicated roadmaps (Italy, Ireland, Spain, Poland, Greece, and the Czech Republic). These documents define the "identity card" for an ideal regional Bio-Based Technology (BBT) and prioritise the five most viable BBTs for implementation in each project region.
Beyond Borders: A New Model for Cross-EU Innovation Exchange
BBioNets is forging crucial synergies! The Standing Liaison Round Table (SLRT) has been key to our external success, facilitating the collaborative 'BioPills' campaign and a major joint publication from the European Cross-Fertilisation Workshop on EIP-AGRI Operational Groups. In addition, our European Transnational Region (ETR) Meetings further strengthen our synergistic action by enabling targeted knowledge transfer across borders.
